Our camp makes minimum impact to the environment around us, especially compared to standard hotels. The water consumed when dishwashing is filtered through a sandbed, the eco-toilet has an urine separation system, and the the rest of the waste is transported to a biogas facility in a nearby town that then provides the municipal-buses with fuel. The birch-firewood used to heat the tents is from local supplier. Birch wood is bio-fuel, and the regrowht of birch is larger than the wood taken out where we take it. Transports to the camp is done by a modern snowmobile with a cathalythic system and very low-consuming engine (about 8-10 l/100km).

The Camp is not connected to the electrical grid. We have solar cells and led lamps providing all the light we need.
